ACNE & BREAKOUTS
Acne is one of the most undertreated conditions in aesthetic medicine. Not because the treatments don’t exist — they do, and they work — but because most clinics treat what they can see rather than asking what’s causing it.
Acne involves inflammation of the hair follicle and oil glands in your skin. You probably get blackheads, whiteheads, inflamed lesions, or deeper cystic changes. Or a combination of both.
Hormonal acne behaves differently to congestion-driven acne. Adult acne in a 40-year-old woman is not the same condition as teenage acne in a 16-year-old, even if it looks identical on the surface. Treating them the same way produces the same disappointing results.
wHAT IS ACNE?
At this clinic, assessment looks at acne type, severity, distribution, hormonal patterns, previous treatments, and skin tolerance before anything is recommended.
Management may include targeted skincare, prescription treatments where appropriate, hormonal management in selected patients, barrier support, and procedural options when the clinical picture supports it.
