COLLAGEN INDUCTION THERAPY & MESOTHERAPY

Working with your skin's own biology to improve what's underneath.

Collagen induction therapy and mesotherapy are different techniques that share the same underlying logic — stimulating the skin's own repair and renewal processes rather than working around them. They are often used together, and both are selected based on clinical assessment rather than patient request.

Collagen Induction Therapy — Microneedling

Collagen induction therapy involves the use of ultra-fine needles to create controlled micro-channels in the skin, triggering a targeted healing response. The result is increased collagen and elastin production — improving skin texture, firmness, and quality over time.

Treatment can be applied across most areas of the body, including the face, neck, décolletage, around the eyes, and areas with stretch marks. Results build gradually, with visible improvement typically from 4–6 weeks post-treatment.

Concerns commonly addressed include acne scarring, skin texture and pore size, fine lines, pigmentation, stretch marks, and hair loss.

A course of 3–6 treatments spaced 4–8 weeks apart is typically recommended, though this varies depending on the concern being addressed. Maintenance treatments are often recommended to sustain results.

Downtime is minimal — most patients experience 12–48 hours of redness, similar in appearance to mild sunburn. Topical anaesthetic is applied prior to treatment.

Skin priming for a minimum of two weeks before treatment is often required. Dr Sarah will provide specific pre-treatment instructions at your consultation.

Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy combines microinjection techniques with targeted therapeutic agents — including hyaluronic acid, vitamins, minerals, biomimetic peptides, amino acids, and plasma — to address specific skin concerns with minimal downtime.

It is used to improve skin quality, hydration, fine lines, pigmentation, rosacea, and hair rejuvenation, and is often performed alongside other treatments as part of a broader plan.

At this clinic, mesotherapy may be offered as a standalone treatment or as part of a skin workout — a 30–60 minute appointment that begins with a superficial chemical peel to support cellular turnover, followed by mesotherapy tailored to your specific goals.

Downtime is typically minimal. Some temporary redness, needle marks, or mild bruising may occur, resolving within a few days.

Important information

A thorough skin cancer check is recommended prior to collagen induction therapy. Treatment is not appropriate for all patients. Contraindications and pre-treatment requirements are discussed in full during consultation. Dr Sarah will provide complete pre- and post-treatment care instructions specific to your treatment plan.
